The Vista Detention Facility (VDF) is classified as a Type II Facility by the California Corrections Standards Authority. VDF serves as the primary point of intake for male and female prisoners in North San Diego County. The Vista Detention facility is the only facility in the North County area that receives and houses both male and female pretrial arrestees on both felony and misdemeanor charges. The Vista jail is a very capable facility providing an range of medical services, including infectious disease control, psychiatrists, dentists, nurses and physicians.

If immediate bail is not an option we have listed information on the options to arrange social visit reservations with your friend or loved one. Reservations can be made via online or by phone.
